Then when death comes, it will not be a big surprise, and you won’t have to make a very big adjustment. Mamatay na bago pa dumating ang kamatayan. Ano ang ibig sabihin nito? Putulin ang relasyon sa mga sobrang attachment sa buhay. Kung mayroon, magpasalamat, pero kung wala, puede rin. May natupad na pangarap, salamat. Pero kung hindi natupad, salamat din. May mga pagsisikap pero kung ang bunga ay hindi inaasahan, salamat pa rin. Hindi ka masyadong attached.
Di ba yung patay wala nang pakiramdam? Kahit ano’ng gawin mo sa kanya, hindi yan nagrereklamo. While we cannot be totally and completely dead to the world, we can begin an early and an advanced kind of death to the world. Huwag nang hayaan na pagdating pa lang ng kamatayan saka ka magde-detach. Have a healthy level of detachment while you engage life. Halimbawa, nabigo ka, hindi ka na masyadong nagluluksa d’yan. Hindi ka mahal ng mahal mo, hindi ka masyadong sensitive. Hindi ka appreciated, hindi mo yun ipagpapakamatay dahil patay ka na sa mga ganung feeling. Hindi ka nagkaroon ng bahay o kotse, natututo kang makuntento. Malaking hamon yan. Pero mainam.
