CHOOSE SERENITY

Philippians 4:6-7

…With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then…God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.

The only way that you could win over trouble is by being peaceful, not by being more troublesome because a troublesome attitude begets a troublesome reaction. Hahaba lang nang hahaba ang gulo. Ang pinakamagandang paraan ay payapa, tahimik at matiwasay na pag-uugali. Kapag tayo’y naguguluhan, natatakot, nababagabag, ang kailangan natin ay the peace of God that transcends all understanding. Read another way, this means, “The peace of God tells you to be peaceful when you have all the reasons to be troubled,” “The peace of God tells you to be friendly when the entire environment provokes you to be violent,” “The peace of God makes you do the impossible.” And when you’re doing the impossible, you allow God to work.

Choose serenity. Pray for it. Practice it. When you are provoked, you have two choices: Maging katulad ka nya, o ibahin mo yung approach. Sa palagay nyo, sinong magwawagi? Yung maka-Dios na pamamaraan. Kaya ang sabi ng Panginoon, “Pinupwersa kang maglakad ng one mile? Sabihin mo, ‘Two miles na lang, gusto mo?’ Hinihingi yung jacket mo, sabihin mo, ‘Sando ko, gusto mo rin?’” Kasi pag natanggal nya ang lahat ng gusto nya sa iyo, ano pa ang kukunin nya? Wala na, tahimik na.

“Paano naman yun, e di nawalan ako?” Exactly! Pag pinaandar natin yung sarili nating pangangatwiran, doon lalong gumugulo ang buhay. Kasi kung minsan, sa paggawa mo ng baligtad, dun nagagawa yung dapat mangyari.
